Canada Road: The Flowers Are Sleeping

Along the Bluewater Highway

In August we walked the dirt road out to the main highway, the Bluewater highway, looking at the flowers along the road, colours awake first thing in the morning.  The blues, purple, bright yellow, dark brown sorrel, orange, and dots of white and pink.  But the road is white, against fields of dark green.

The Chip Wagon

We went to the chip wagon which is called the Sky Diner, because it was next to the aerodrome and saw a small plane come in to land.  The diner had the traditional food, fries, burgers, wraps, fish, then 26 flavours of ice cream, floats.  We ate outside under a tree or two.

Flowers are Sleeping

Now the flower seeds are asleep under blankets of snow.
